Effective October 1, parking fees will be increasing at the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park. The City of Claremont just sent out the following announcement:

CHWP Parking Fee Changes
As part of the City of Claremont’s recently adopted Fee Schedule, parking fees for the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park (CHWP) and Thompson Creek Trail (TCT) parking lots will be changing effective October 1, 2018.
Single Use Four Hour Parking Permit
- Saturdays and Sundays opening until 10:00 a.m., $7.00
- All other days and times, $5.00
The 2018 Annual permits will remain valid in both lots and residential permits will remain valid in the Thompson Creek Trail parking lot.
Claremont Hills Wilderness Park 2019 Annual Pass and the 2019-21 Claremont Resident Pass will be available beginning December 3, 2018 at City Hall and the Alexander Hughes Community Center.
- The 2019 CHWP Annual Permits will be $140 and may be used in the north or south parking lots with no restrictions.
- FREE Resident permits may be used in the south parking lot by the Thompson Creek Trail entrance only.
